Cleyde Alves

Cleyde Alves, also credited as Cleide Alves, was born in Rio de Janeiro and began her career in the early 1960s. She recorded singles and sang with Renato e Seus Blue Caps on the 1962 LP Twist.

On Twist, Hully Gully e Cleide Alves, released in 1964, she performed songs by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos. As Jovem Guarda declined, she stepped away from music; she returned to recording in 1995 on the album celebrating the movement's 30th anniversary.
