ChocQuibTown

ChocQuibTown was formed in 2000 by Goyo, Tostao and Slow, musicians connected to Quibdó, in the Colombian department of Chocó. The name combines references to the region, the city and the English word for city. The group brought together hip-hop and the sounds of Colombia’s Pacific coast on records like Somos Pacífico and Oro. “De dónde vengo yo” widened its reach and earned international recognition in 2010.
