Chino Moreno

Chino Moreno is the singer of Deftones, a Sacramento band that since the late ’80s has mixed metal heaviness, shoegaze atmospheres and new wave in a voice that alternates whisper and scream. White Pony, from 2000, made him a reference point for alternative metal. Outside Deftones, he created projects such as Team Sleep, Crosses and Palms, always closer to melancholy than to fury.

Why listen to Chino Moreno?

To hear the voice that brought sensuality and haze to alternative metal.
