Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma, and rose to prominence by winning American Idol in 2005. That same year, she released Some Hearts, a debut album that includes “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats”.

Records such as Carnival Ride and Blown Away followed, widening her presence in country. On Storyteller, Cry Pretty and Denim & Rhinestones, she kept country as the foundation and incorporated pop and rock sounds.
