Benediction

Benediction formed in Birmingham in 1989 and entered the British death metal scene with Subconscious Terror, released in 1990. After Barney Greenway left the group to join Napalm Death, Dave Ingram took over vocals on The Grand Leveller and 1993's Transcend the Rubicon.

The band remained active through lineup changes and, after 12 years without a studio album, brought Ingram back for 2020's Scriptures. In 2025, it released Ravage of Empires.
