Alexandre Maionese

A classically trained flutist with experience in concert bands, Alexandre Maionese began playing in the Colégio Salesiano band at age ten. He works primarily in choro and samba and released Flauta de Prata in 2003, an album dedicated to Benedito Lacerda.

He spent eight years in Luiz Melodia's band and belonged to ensembles such as Pé-de-Moleque and Samba Bom. He has also recorded and performed with various Brazilian popular music artists.
