Alejandro Sanz was born in Madrid and released his first records in the late 1980s under the name Alejandro Magno. Viviendo deprisa, from 1991, opened the way to a far-reaching career in Spanish-language music.
With Más, released in 1997, and the song “Corazón partío”, he reached a wider international audience. In the following years, he brought collaborations and other genres into albums such as El alma al aire and joined Shakira on “La Tortura”.
