The vocal quartet was formed in 1996 by Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre. After a debut album released by an independent label, 98 Degrees found success with 98° and Rising, from 1998, and Revelation, from 2000.

“Because of You”, “The Hardest Thing” and “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)” were among its best-known singles. The group went on hiatus in 2002, reunited in 2012 and went back to releasing records and touring.
