Zé Ramalho

Zé Ramalho was born in Brejo da Cruz, Paraíba, and began his solo career in the late 1970s, after working in the music scene of Brazil’s Northeast. His debut album, released in 1978, featured “Avôhai”, “Chão de Giz” and “Vila do Sossego”.

The following year, A Peleja do Diabo com o Dono do Céu established him with “Admirável Gado Novo” and “Frevo Mulher”. After a period of lower visibility, he found success again in the 1990s.
