The Fevers emerged in Rio de Janeiro in 1964 and reached the public through the Jovem Guarda movement. The band scored with “Já Cansei” and “Agora Eu Sei” in the late 1960s; “Mar de Rosas” and “Vem Me Ajudar” widened its reach in 1971. In the 1980s, the group's songs opened the telenovelas “Elas por Elas” and “Guerra dos Sexos”. Through lineup changes, it kept recording and playing shows.
