The Alan Parsons Project emerged in London in 1975, from the partnership between engineer and producer Alan Parsons and composer Eric Woolfson. The debut record, Tales of Mystery and Imagination, drew on texts by Edgar Allan Poe; I Robot and Pyramid continued with concept albums featuring different singers.
Eye in the Sky, from 1982, brought its biggest commercial success. The duo released ten albums until 1987, when the project stopped recording under that name.
