Sabaton

Sabaton emerged in Falun, Sweden, in 1999, and began writing songs about wars and historical episodes. The album Primo Victoria, from 2005, defined that path; then came Attero Dominatus and The Art of War.

Carolus Rex, released in English and Swedish versions, dealt with the history of the Swedish Empire and was certified platinum in the country. The band remained active with records such as The Great War and The War to End All Wars.
