Quarteto em Cy

Formed by sisters Cyva, Cynara, Cybele and Cylene, Quarteto em Cy emerged in Rio de Janeiro after they moved from Ibirataia, Bahia. Vinicius de Moraes and Carlos Lyra named the group.

In 1964, they recorded their first LP and performed with Vinicius and Dorival Caymmi at the Zum Zum nightclub. Afro-sambas, with Vinicius and Baden Powell, cemented the partnership on record. The group went through lineup changes and remained active for decades.
