Orquestra de Violinos do Centro Cultural Cartola

Created as a music education project at Centro Cultural Cartola in Mangueira, the orchestra offered violin lessons to children and young people from the community. The training program began in 2005 under the direction of conductor Leonardo Bruno, and the group grew to around sixty participants.

Its performances included repertoire connected to Cartola and the history of samba. Funded by Petrobras between 2007 and 2012, the project was suspended pending new partnerships.
