Martinha

Martinha was born in Belo Horizonte and began her career in 1966, within the Jovem Guarda movement. “Eu te amo mesmo assim”, her own composition, was her first hit and gave its name to her debut LP, released in 1967.

She also wrote songs recorded by other artists of the movement, among them “Só sonho quando penso que você sente o que eu sinto”, recorded by Erasmo Carlos. She kept recording and taking part in Jovem Guarda reunions and commemorative shows.
