Mariana de Moraes

A singer and actress from Rio, Mariana de Moraes is the granddaughter of Vinicius de Moraes and carries the surname with discretion. Over four albums, she recorded only three of her grandfather’s songs, following the advice of her aunt, filmmaker Susana de Moraes, to first build a path of her own.

Only on Vinicius de Mariana, from 2023, with arrangements by João Donato, did she devote an entire album to the poet’s repertoire, in the month he would have turned 110.
