Born in Rio de Janeiro and the son of composer Aderbal do Estácio, Marcelinho Moreira works as a singer and percussionist. In 1997, he joined Toque de Prima, with whom he recorded three albums, including Daqui, dali e de lá. He released the solo albums Marcelinho pão e vinho and Fé no batuque; in 2017, he recorded the Canto do batuqueiro samba circle live, and in 2020, he presented Marias.
