Horace Andy

Horace Andy was born Horace Hinds in Kingston, Jamaica, and began recording in the late 1960s. In 1972, he released Skylarking, an album that brought attention to the title track and cemented his ties to Studio One reggae.

In the 1980s, he recorded Dance Hall Style; the following decade, he began collaborating frequently with Massive Attack, singing on records such as Mezzanine. He kept releasing solo material, including Midnight Rocker in 2022.
