Hocico emerged in Mexico City in 1993 with cousins Erk Aicrag and Racso Agroyam, after experiences in projects such as Niñera Degenerada and Hocico de Perro. The duo cemented its electro-industrial sound with Odio Bajo El Alma, from 1997, and Sangre Hirviente, from 1999, and expanded its international reach with tours and releases on the Out of Line label.
It stayed active in the following decades, releasing albums such as Tiempos de Furia and Hyperviolent.
