Formed in Toronto in 2004, Cancer Bats developed a sound where the urgency of hardcore meets heavy riffs, groove and an acknowledged debt to metal. The band spent two decades on the road without turning brutality into a formula: albums like Hail Destroyer cemented its identity, while lineup changes and guitarist Scott Middleton's departure opened a new chapter. Give Me Dirt, released in 2026, extends that physical, direct persistence.
Hardcore with immediate impact, driven by riffs that seem built to push an entire room.
