Arch Enemy

Arch Enemy emerged in Halmstad, Sweden, in the mid-1990s, created by guitarist Michael Amott after he left Carcass. The debut album, Black Earth, came out in 1996; Stigmata and Burning Bridges consolidated the first phase, with Johan Liiva on vocals.

In 2000, Angela Gossow took over the microphone, debuting on Wages of Sin. The band carried on through lineup changes and released records such as Anthems of Rebellion and War Eternal.
